Shiba Park-based game studio hiring planner for Unreal Engine 4-based PS4 title
tri-Ace? Or perhaps Game Studio?
A game studio that has developed a number of famous titles and is located by Shiba Park in Tokyo is hiring a planner for work on an Unreal Engine 4-based, high-end PlayStation 4 title, according to a Fellows job posting.
The following possibilities are merely speculation.
tri-Ace is located just outside of Shiba Park. The company has worked on several big-name franchises, including Square Enix’s Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile series, Sega’s Phantasy Star series, and more.
Back in May 2018, tri-Ace held a Star Ocean Fes 2018 event, where fans were expecting a new game announcement, prompting a response from Square Enix producer Shuichi Kobayashi, who said:
“I understand, I know what else everyone would like to hear, but speaking frankly, it’s not that simple to make,” Kobayashi said.
“If it could be made without tri-Ace, then surely it would possible. But that’s not the case, is it? I’m saying please wait a little longer. Won’t you please wait a little longer?”
Kobayashi continued, “Please keep faith in us as we continue with Anamnesis. I’ll also do my best. That’s all I can say today, but I believe that everyone’s support will empower us to work hard.”
Game Studio (that is their name) is also based just outside Shiba Park. While the majority of their work consists of smartphone, arcade, and PC browser titles, they have also worked on a number of console games, including Square Enix’s Figureheads for PlayStation 4 and PC, and Capcom’s Okamiden for DS. Their smartphone and arcade offerings include the likes of Square Enix’s Hoshi no Dragon Quest and Lord of Vermillion series, Sega’s Star Horse Pocket, and more.
